A Stunning Urban Celebration
We had the incredible honor of photographing Danny and Katy's wedding, which was a perfect blend of urban elegance and industrial chic, held at the Lacuna Lofts in Chicago, IL. From the morning preparations at the stylish Kimpton Gray Chicago to the vibrant portraits across the city, every moment of their day was filled with love, joy, and laughter.
The day began at the Kimpton Gray Chicago, where both the bride and groom’s entourages got ready in the hotel's sleek, modern spaces. The energy was contagious as the bridal party prepared for the day ahead, with excitement and emotions running high. The natural light in the rooms made for beautiful candid shots of Katy and Danny as they shared special moments with their closest friends and family.
For the bridal party portraits, we explored some of Chicago's most iconic locations, starting with the Financial District. The towering skyscrapers and urban energy provided a dramatic backdrop that contrasted beautifully with Katy's soft, elegant dress and the sharp attire of the groomsmen. Next, we headed to the Wells Street Bridge, where the historic architecture and city skyline framed the couple's love perfectly. Finally, we made our way to the Cancer Survivor’s Garden, where the lush greenery added a romantic, serene touch to the vibrant cityscape.
As the evening approached, the celebration continued at the Lacuna Lofts, an eclectic venue with industrial flair. The exposed brick, high ceilings, and large windows allowed us to capture the joy and excitement of the evening as friends and family gathered to celebrate Danny and Katy’s love. The night was filled with heartfelt speeches, lively dancing, and unforgettable moments.
